What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a gentle but powerful mechanical exfoliation for the skin. By removing the upper-most layer of dead skin cells, skin will appear smoother, pore size is reduced, hyper pigmentation is lightened and the skin is better able to absorb active ingredients found in high-tech skin care products.

At the Advanced Skin Care Clinic in Edmonton, we use a diamond tip microdermabrasion machine. The diamond tip is moved across the skin creating a vacuum whisking away dead skin cells, dirt and debris. Skin is left clean, soft and supple. For patients with problem skin such as acne or acne scarring, or aging skin; scars, fine wrinkles and pigment will fade away.
