What is Fractora?

Fractora resurfaces the skins texture and complexion through tiny pins that deliver radio frequency deep below the skins surface. This heats up the cells and increases collagen and elastin production, creating long-lasting results. Between these tiny treatment zones remains uninjured tissue, this allows the injured tissue faster healing and makes for little to no downtime after a treatment.

What areas can be treated with Fractora?

In our Edmonton clinic, Fractora is available for both men and women for the following:

* Improving the appearance of acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch marks * Lessening the presence of melasma (mask of pregnancy) * Minimizing large pores * Reducing brown pigment and evening out skin tone * Softening fine lines and rough skin texture

What can I expect from my first Fractora Treatment?

The Fractora treatment itself takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated. Prior to treatment a topical anesthetic is applied to the skin, once numb, the Fractora hand-piece is then guided over the treatment area by a certified technician. During the Fractora treatment you skin will be numb but there still may be some discomfort, most patients describe as tolerable.

Will there be any downtime after my Fractora Treatment?

Immediately after Fractora, redness and minor swelling is common, however, the degree of redness and swelling will vary from individual to individual. Within 24 hours of treatment you will be able to shave or apply makeup.

How many treatments and how often should I come for Fractora?

Most clients see a significant improvement in the appearance of their skin after the very first treatment. Depending upon the condition of your skin and the location of the area being treated, the average patient requires three to six treatment sessions for best results.
